April 13 Election Preview

Four elections are upcoming this Tuesday. One federal race, the Congressional race in Florida to replace Democrat Robert Wexler seems a forgone conclusion – no one is even imagining a Republican upset in this incredibly Democratic district. The other Florida race, a State House district in super-conservative panhandle Florida should also be an easy hold – this time for Republicans.

More interesting will be races in Massachusetts for two State Senate seats – there are primaries in the races, one to replace a Democrat who resigned and one to replace Scott Brown, now the junior US Senator in the state.

There are also two races in California – one Senate seat and one house seat. If no one wins 50% in these races, then the top two finishers, one each from the major parties, will go to a runoff.

April 13 – Florida – 4th House District

April 13 – Florida – 19th Congressional District

April 13 – California Senate District 37 and Assembly District 43

April 13 – Massachusetts – Norfolk, Bristol & Middlesex Senate District and Middlesex, Suffolk & Essex Senate District
