Democrats have easily held a State Senate seat in Mississippi. Though party affiliation does not show up on the ballot, Albert Butler, endorsed by Democrats in the heavily blue and rural 36th district, won over Jimmy Strong. The Claiborne County Supervisor will resign his post and be sworn in shortly.

  1. There was also a Special Election in NH yesterday (House Coos 2). Results aren’t final yet; they are waiting for some precincts to report in.

    • Good catch – the Republicans picked up a seat in the New Hampshire House of Representatives – John Tholl beat John Roberge in Coos County. Full results are still not available.

      Thanks!
