January 12 – California Assembly District 72 (Orange County)

Jan. 12 – California Assembly District 72 Runoff

In the November 17th election, Republican Chris Norby won the most votes and will face Democrat John MacMurray and Green Jane Rands in the general election on January 12.

The 72nd district includes all of Fullerton, Brea and Placentia and parts of Anaheim, Yorba Linda, La Habra and Orange. This race is to replace Republican Mike Duvall who resigned because of a sex scandal.

Orange County Supervisor Chris Norby won over 37% of the vote against the 4 other candidates and he is the favorite in this Republican-leaning district. Click here for his website.

The Democratic candidate is John MacMurray, a teacher in La Habra. He won 27% of the vote and his website is here.  The Green Party Candidate is Jane Rands, a systems engineer who won 3% of the vote. Her website is here
