Welcome to the new All Politics is Local blog. This blog is dedicated to making it easier to vote – by putting all sorts of election and voting information in one place.

States do things differently and that makes it complicated and confusing. Here, we will offer non-partisan state-specified information to eliminate this confusion. Find state by state information here!!

There will also be posts about upcoming special elections, as well as preparation for the 2010 midterms. On top of the difficulty of voting itself, there is the problem of finding out about elections and the various candidates. This is why turnout for special elections and midterms are so low. Blink and you can miss an election in your hometown!

I look forward to comments offering suggestions of kinds of information to add to this blog – including links for the right panel, posts about upcoming special elections and other helpful tips.
